COSMOPOLITAN NIGERIA
November 2014: what started as an interview with our founder, Adiat Disu for an article on Cosmopolitan Nigeria (11 Black Women Leaders Around The World Who Use Fashion To Educate & Educate Like Michelle Obama ), turned into a client relationship (Hearst portfolio link) (Cosmo portfolio link) ; where we were hired to provide digital product and project management services to Hearst Magazine.
January 1st, 2015 we launched Cosmopolitan Nigeria. The following is what we did:
- Hired to run the digital editorial teams with the charter of finding new content and business opportunities for Hearst Magazines
- Led Product and Platform review and training for custom CMS
- Used lean startup methodologies , design thinking and other user focused principles to test (validate and invalidate) several content types
- Managed and coordinate a team of 12+ writers and editorial assistants
- Coordinated product weekly for fashion/accessories/beauty stories based on celebrity or influencer fashion/runway/beauty trends
- Pitched fashion/accessories/beauty stories based on news/trends backed by celebrity photo-research
